What do I do with the Giraffe????

I'm trying to knit these finger puppets and now I can't get his head to fit right...Is it the way its attached? What would be a better way to fix this?
I knit from the bottom up making a tube then I made the head and attached it to the neck but he looks all wonky. And, how do I make the horn thingys? The guy in the corner is my inspiration! This is my first real attempt with intarsia so, next time maybe I can add more brown spottys...
